I made the project killing decision of going with an auto conversion Subaru last time. It wasn’t so much the auto conversion that killed the project, as much as it was a less than stellar experience with the vendor at the time.
Engine – This go around, I am going with a Lycoming IO-360-M1B engine. I am going dual E-Mags and looking at a set it and forget it when it comes to ignition (I know it’s really not like that, but you know what I mean). I want the simplest system with no fancy wizbang, crazy solutions.
Avionics – My last avionics package was an AFS system. Now that Dynon and AFS have merged, I have a decision to make in a couple of years.
